The Month of October is Community Peacebuilding Month!   


The River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding will be offering many different events throughout the month in order to educate, inspire and partner with others to create a safer Alachua County.   

We will be offering workshops that are considered "best practices" throughout the nation, as well as movies, a march and vigil for peace and other important programs.

RPCP is bringing Be More Heroic to Gainesville for October Community Peacebuilding Month - stay tuned for updates! 

October 3 and 4, Thursday & Friday
Community Conferencing - A Restorative Justice Training.   Founder Dr. Lauren Abramson and her team from Baltimore will lead this training. Seating is limited.

October 9, Wednesday  
RPCP will coordinate and partner with Peaceful Paths for Unity Day:  March and Vigil for Peace.   Join us for this second annual community-wide event.   We take a stand together to end bullying, domestic and all forms of violence!   This is in cooperation with Pacer National Bullying Prevention Center's Unity Day.   Together we can create a safer community.

October 14 - 18
The University of Florida celebrates Conflict Resolution Week and RPCP will be co-sponsoring events on campus.

October 26, Saturday 
The Pride Center will have their event.  Stay tuned and contact them directly for information!
